light a match and burn this motherfucker to the ground/ and when the smoke all clears we'll build a whole new world/ a place where who you are means more than what you have/ cause as of now you are the things that you posses/ we're lost/ to find the truth we must tear down these walls/ we've been taught a way to live that's wrong/ this could never last forever/ we can not keep on/ treating this whole world as if it's made to be destroyed/ when you have to beg for life/ you should be getting free/ it's time to fight against what's standing in your way/ when some of us/ much more than we could ever need/ and we just want to have more/ while others suffer/ for lack of so called luxuries/ like a place to live should be/ considered a privelege and not a part/ of what it is to be alive and free/ we have to fight/ to take the power back/ and when we win/we'll start over again
2.
this is a warning/ this is a threat to every one/ who refuses to wake up/ we will no longer/ sit here and watch you hold us down/ yeah we are turning it around/ and taking back/ every promise that you broke/ every dream you tried to choke/ out of our hearts/ yeah we are fighting for our lives/ we are the youth and we are strong/ and we've let you own us for too long/ the choice you've offered us is wrong/ we've found a place that we belong/ all this time/ you saddled us with your decay/ then you lead us blindly/ straight into our graves/ we just want more/ than the burden of your mistakes/ we will tear this world apart/ to find our way/ out of this hole/ that you have carved out of our souls/ we have watched your greed/ take over self control/ and we are tired of pretending it's okay/ now there's nothing standing in our way
3.
every single night a lie awake/ wishing i could find a chance to leave this cage/ i'm looking back on choices i have made/ through the window of a prison we create/ i'm just fucking sick of being used/ every moment of my life is mass produced/ work the days away until it's time for us to die/ in the end there's nothing left to comfort us except the lies/ well i refuse to be a part of the decline/ there are better ways to spend the little time/ we have left to get the most out of our lives/ we measure worth by what we carry inside/ i sit back and watch the ones i love scrape by/ the escape of substance in clouding up their eyes/ soon the years will carry us away/ we'll forget we ever knew eachother/ forget we were ever young at all/ we value our time here...
4.
take a look around/ everything is falling/ and we watch it all go down/ like nothings wrong and/ war just keeps on raging/ and the planet keeps on dying/ yet we just don't seem to care/ we're gone beyond repair/ but i/ will die before i let this all repeat/ i can't live with the guilt of our choices/ weighing down on me/ one day we'll either make a stand or choose defeat/ every minute longer that we wait/ our future rots away/ the cost/ of our denial is the destruction of life/ the price/ of our desire will be passed on down the line
5.
Take It Back 03:23
i'm taking it back/ everything i gave away/ all my self respect my dignity/ my urgency for change/ i just want to live my life/ like every day could be my last/ like the future doesn't have to be a/ mirror of our past mistakes/ with all the skeletons we hide/ fill our bodies full of poison/ just to kill the pain inside/ yeah we all know that something's wrong/ it's on our eyes in our hearts/ where it has been all along/ take back your mind/ so get up off your knees and shake the dirt off of your soul/ we don't have to be afraid we are in control/ all that's standing in our way are the walls we build inside/ this life can be about more than just getting by/ nothing that you ever had means shit/ on the day you die/ all that matters are the dreams you chase/ and how hard that you tried/ it's ingrained in us to measure our success/ by the amount of physical wealth we are/ brainwashed to possess/ yet the more that we become the things we own/ the more we live a life that's shallow hard/ and oh so fucking cold/ i want to live before i die/ i want to be proud of the world i leave behind/ i want to live before i die/ and if it falls apart/ at least i know i fucking tried
6.
this is not a game/ we can't take for granted/ not a single day we're here is guaranteed/ everything you see/ is part of a machine that's aimed at/ submission hypocrisy of greed/ please listen to me/ i don't have all the answers/ but i believe in the strength of unity/ none of us are free/ until every single one of us/ has broken out of this insanity/ i'm on my knees/ please listen to me/ we're fucking sick/ there's a hole torn open in our souls/ and nothing you can buy will fill it up/ because the drugs don't work/ so we just keep on hurting/ i'm just so scared we're letting go/ we can not let go/ until the day/ we resist and overcome/ nothing here will ever change/ until the day/ we relearn to trust eachother/ life just keeps slipping away/ and soon enough/ we're looking back on all those years/ wondering where did it all go/ the doubt and fear/ swallow any memories/ you just couldn't manage to hand on/ where did it all go wrong/ where did it all go wrong?
7.
i am the ghost of everything i ever dreamed that i would be/ an empty vessel sinking slowly/ screaming out will someone help me/ i'm left alone to struggle with hate and defeat/ a bitter way to pass the time i feel like i've been losing my mind/ no matter where i run i end up at the start/ always facing down these demons/ never had the strength to beat them/ so brick by brick i just keep adding to these walls/ lost all faith in someday being/ strong enough to begin climbing out/ so i just sit here broken waiting for the fall/ and i don't even think i care at all/ some will call this growing up i call it slavery/ an existence based on profit nothing more/ and now my heart had grown so cold that i no longer see/ any reason left to get up off the floor/ instead of me changing the world the world is changing me/ and i have never felt so helpless or afraid/ cause when i look into the mirror i see the enemy/ the reflection of a soul left to decal/ i feel the hate/ taking control inside my mind/ instead of apathy i feel detatched/ and i can't find/ those memories or better times/ they buried underneath the weight of my submission
8.
Empty Words 02:44
tell me it's alright/ and wrap it in a blanket of your/ predictable, mediocre shit/ you're all the same/ a bunch of trendy parasites/ feeding on the hearts of all these kids/ it just makes me sick/ we are taking back the power we are taking back our lives/ this generation deserves more/ all our heroes turned out liars/ all our idols dead and gone/ and we refuse to watch you desecrate what's ours/ your empty words/ bounce around between these walls/ but none of them make it into our hearts/ we can see right through your packaged/ produced product passed as art/ another fad we'll tear apart/ i just want to be here when you fall
9.
pick a fucking side with us or against us/ cause the whole worlds hellbent on it's own demise/ and we just don't have the time/ to wait on more excuses from the/ liars we are forced to stand behind/ so find what you believe hold it close and/ never let it go we refuse to trade our souls/ for an empty hollow dream a broken promise/ handed down to us by those we were raised to trust/ and i can no longer sit on the sides/ while our future is being destroyed before my eyes/ there's a fire that's burning inside/ i want to watch it consume everything that i despise/ anger is a gift there's too much at stake to not fight/ for a chance to live cause one day we will turn around to find/ that everything we ever knew was all founded on lies/ it's time for us to rise and draw the fucking line/ i'm just so tired living in a state of fear/ scared of failing scared of living another wasted year/ and every night the tv blares the carnage of the day/ i'm reaching out in desperation to find another way/ out of this rat race i refuse to call my life/ i'd give it all just for a chance to make it right/ and when it comes down there's no choice but to decide/ will you stand up or be part of the decline/ it's time for us to rise we've been passive for too long/ the days of ignoring our problems are gone/ we're the youth of today tomorrow is real/ we will shake off these chains and relearn how to feel alive

All We Need 04:12
i don't have to tell/ the story of the struggles i have lived/ it's written in the shadows/ of the places i have been/ though there's a fine line between/ selling out and giving in/ it's all the same to me/ you live on your feet/ or die on your knees/ yeah i wasn't born here to serve or be served/ nor am i predestined by divine creation/ to subjugate the earth/ this is just the bullshit we've been fed/ we have complacency ingrained into our heads/ there's so much more to life that we can't see/ when we've got posion in our hearts/ with every word we sing we're resisting/ we won't watch this all just fall apart/ we're scared/ of what it would be like/ to live a life that's free of all these chains/ so we procrastinate/ and push away the truth we see/ but one day it will all come back/ crashing down on top of me/ and i just want to rise/ above the hell of this society/ i want to live my whole life free/ and help heal broken lives/ we're all just fragments of the same big piece/ yearning to connect and see/ that all this time/ all we need is unity/ all we need is unity/ and we can make out in the time/ we are stronger than they ever led us to believe/ the future's shining in our eyes/ we can make this world the place we'd always dreamed it'd be/ if we can realize/ we're all we need
